A woman revealed a brilliant freezer space-saving hack that will also save you money and make the weekly food shop much easier.
The mum from Australia explained that she clearly labels all of the food she has so that she can see it all at a glance rather than having to pull everything out in order to find what she wants.
The picture shows items like berries, corn and broccoli all separated into their own individual disposable containers, which have been clearly labelled with what’s inside.
She shared the hack on Facebook in the hopes of helping others declutter their freezer, writing: “Organising our freezer has been a game-changer for us. Instead of bags of veg that spill easily we have a container for each one.”
She explained that she combines things like spinach and spring onions that are only small into one container labelled ‘vegetables’ so it doesn’t take up as much space.
She said: “We also have a ‘fakeaway’ container for things like chicken tenders, spring rolls & fish fingers. We have another container for chips,” reports The Sun.
This system, she says, makes food shopping much easier as she can take a quick glance into the freezer and already know what she has and what she needs rather than rooting around.
Hundreds of fellow group users praised the idea with many saying they couldn’t wait to organise their freezer like hers.
This comes after a woman revealed how easy it is to double the amount of shelf space in your fridge using a cooking rack.
In a picture she shared online, she strategically placed cooking racks to conveniently stack bowls and containers on top of one another so that she has room for more food – genius.
If you don’t have any to spare, you can always use baking trays or chopping boards.
You can also move the existing shelves around to make room for more food, and the make-do oven rack dividers.
But make sure that all of your containers are properly covered first so as not to contaminate anything underneath.
